When asking Wanda Jones, promoter of Arizona Antique Shows what changes they would make for the show when they acquired it in summer of 2009, she replied: "If something isn't broken, don't try to fix it. This show is just wonderful the way it is up to and including the Lions Club! They do a fabulous job in sponsorship and canvassing for us, from concessions to a free lumberjack breakfast on Sunday morning in the forest for the dealers. We also intend to keep the Saturday night BBQ at the campground Ramada for the dealers on Saturday that has traditionally been hosted by the promoter. We have been exhibitors here for nine years and love coming every season. The show is extremely well received by the community, more than 2,200 attendees last summer and they just couldn't be more welcoming. |
| The only plans we have for the show is a very heated advertising campaign throughout the tri-state region to let everyone know about our little secret here in Ruidoso. This resort town has become one of our most favorite destinations every summer. The air is clean, the town is well groomed and beautiful, the climate bliss and just an absolute gorgeous place to visit. We want everyone to know where this resort town of Ruidoso New Mexico and this grand antique show is". |

If it’s Bride’s Bowls, Black Forest or Majolica, you’re interested in, you’ll have to stop by Carol’s booth! Majolica, often overlooked, has become one of those quiet items that has of late been frequently sought after. Though the history of majolica dates back to 1851, it is often passed up because the brightly colored earthenware doesn’t appear to be an antique! It is one of those types of antiques that tends to hide it’s value! Don’t be fooled, this valuable pottery can sell to upwards of $10,000 or more!
At the show you’ll also find some of the best choice Antiques, Collectibles & Decorative Arts selected and presented by many outstanding Antique Dealers from all over the United States. If you’re looking for a gift, think about purchasing an antique. There is many great gifts to choose from, even for the hard-to-buy for person in your life! And there’s something for everyone and something in every price range. |
| Since the show’s inception, the Ruidoso Noon Lions Club has been there to help with this extraordinaire event! Proceeds from this show help to benefit those projects and it’s something the members are very proud of. Year after year, their continued commitment helps create a very successful show. Join Arizona Antique Shows and The Noon Lions Club August 27, 28, & 29, 2010 at the Ruidoso Convention Center - 111 Sierra Blanca Drive. Hours are Friday 5pm-9pm, Saturday 10am-6pm & Sunday 11am-4pm.
